Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a form of therapy that allows the mind to heal from the pain of past experiences. By recognizing mental wounds are not unlike physical ones, EMDR seeks to help the patient determine what factors are blocking healing from the wounds of past trauma. Once those barriers are identified, they can be recognized and removed, providing the patient with relief. EMDR studies have shown that as little as three sessions can result in tremendous success.
